I am all over this new show Parenthood that is airing on NBC on Tuesday nights. It stars Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girls fame and Craig T. Nelson who used to be on Coach. It's a phenomenal cast.
The story is about a group of adult brothers and sisters and their families. Their parents are also important to the story. The show is based on the movie Parenthood
that stared Steve Martin. It's not exactly the same, but you can definitely see the similarities. This show seems to give you different aspects of parenthood. One of the sisters is a working mom and she spends a lot of time working so her daughter is more attached to daddy because he's there more. The other sister is moving back home with her two teenage kids to start over. The kids are not happy. The brothers are dealing with their own issues. One of them is happily settled with his family, but discovers his son has Aspergers and his daughter has been smoking pot. Things are just not as wonderful as you think. The screw up brother has just learned he has a 5 year old son. I tell you the story is just wonderful. One minute I'm laughing and the next I'm crying. It's an emotional roller coaster. We have set this show for a weekly record on our DVR and I am really looking forward to watching this weeks episode.
