Family Bike Tours - See the World, and Stay close to your Family

Since my very youngest days I've always wanted to bike across America. And, after our 40 day cross country camping trip - I want to bike the U.S. now more than ever.

This is a great story about a family who has done it in their state. But, who knows, maybe soon they'll venture across the entire country.

Let me know if you plan on taking any trips like this - I'd love to follow along and live vicariously through your experiences.

biking is more than just a way to stay in shape. Its been a way to see 327 of the 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts with his son

Michael and his son Ian have spent the past three years tandem biking more than 1,000 miles throughout the state with the goal of passing through every city and town in Massachusetts. Theyve hopped trains to every nook and cranny of the commonwealth and biked their way home. Theyve had flat tires, loose chains, and impassible rainstorms, and through it all have developed a greater understanding of their home state.

Its easy living in suburban Boston to think that this is what the whole state looks like, he said. Having biked around outside of 128 and beyond 495 we have seen that there is so much more to Massachusetts, there are mountains and trees and rural areas. What he have noticed more than anything else is that there are nice people wherever you go.
