Joyce DeWitt was born in West Virginia in 1949. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Indiana. She is most famous for playing the role of Janet on the TV show "Three's Company" that ran from 1976 to 1984.
She began her acting career by appearing in a couple of episodes of the TV show "Baretta" in 1975. The following year she appeared in the show "Most Wanted".
