I stumbled upon this movie Wild Child
while looking for things to rent on Netflix. It seemed like another typical coming of age story and it didn't disappoint. The movie is about a 16 year old Malibu girl named Poppy who is basically a spoiled brat. She's one of those obnoxious teens you hope your child never turns into. Her father decides to send her to an all girls British boarding school. It seems like the worst thing in the world to poppy then she discovers what real friends are about and who she really is. She also falls in love. What would a coming of age story be without a little romance?The movie stars Emma Roberts as Poppy, the late and sadly missed Natasha Richardson as Mrs. Kingsly(the headmistress) and Alex Pettyfer. He's worth watching the movie according to my daughter. I would have to agree. The cast is wonderful and the movie is fun. Now it's rated PG-13 and that is very appropriate. There is some language that I don't care for my 9 year old to repeat so she hasn't seen it. My 13 year old really enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone around her age. It's not an award winning movie, but it is definitely entertaining. I enjoyed it.
