SEE MISTAKES AS A JOURNEY
Sure, things go wrong sometimes, but no one is supposed to be perfect in life - everything we do, right or wrong, is a journey towards either understanding ourselves or a situation.

We all have our an internal bully, but negative self-talk is counterproductive.
Instead, focus on what you can learn from your mistakes.
For example, say to yourself "Next time, I need to have more tact or more patience"
then move on and let the best of you shine through.

BE THE UNEDITED YOU.

This is all about learning to let go of self-consciousness.
No one has the right to judge you, and accepting that is the first step towards being "unedited" you.
Learn to break the habit of shaping your personality to fit those around you
People-pleasing won't bring happiness ultimately.
And remember, you could have lots of friends telling you you're great, but if you cant fight your internal critic, you'll struggle to be happy.

LAUGH AT YOURSELF

When you're able to laugh at yourself, it shows you accept the real you, imperfections and all.
Once you get the habit, it's amazing how easy it is becomes. It's a trait that many naturally happy'people share - they could have exactly the same day as someone else,
but would find snatches of humor in little moments, which others might miss.

Retrain your brain to think like an optismist and find something to laugh at everyday.

LIVE IN THE MOMENT
Everyday, look in the mirror and ask yourself, "If this was my last day, would i be happy doing what i'm doing today?" If the answer is "NO" for too many days in a row, perhaps it's time to change what you're doing.

Ofcourse, we all have obligations, but this exercise can be a real wake-up call.
Decide to make the most of every moment, instead of just rushing from one thing to the next.
It could be stopping to stare at the delicacy of a leaf on a tree or litsening to the sounds in the street.

No matter how busy is your day, take a minute to sit still and acknowledge this is the last chance you'll get at this particular day

BE OPEN TO CHANGE

Naturally happy peolpe tend to be better at accepting change. Being adaptable is a great asset and if you can be open to what life throws to you, you're likely to feel happier.
Change, especially when unexpected, can be scary, but try and roll with the punches instead of fighting it.
Shocks like redundancy often force us to throw everything up in the air, but letting go of old expectations can lead to freedom to follow a different dream, even if it doesn't feel like right away
